Every year, FIFA organizes an annual ceremony to celebrate football’s greatest in 2023 with ‘The Best’ awards, paying tribute with different prizes and recognitions in the field of soccer.
For this purpose, it has several categories such as the best male and female player, men’s soccer coach, women’s soccer coach, goalkeepers and best fans.

The ceremony, in which they announce the winners of the prizes, takes place on Monday, January 15 in London at 20:30 and can be followed with our live blog.
The presenters for the gala will be the popular French ex-footballer Thierry Henry, who played for Arsenal and Barcelona, and Reshmin Chowdhury, a presenter with extensive experience in the field of soccer and with previous experience hosting FIFA events.
Who is Reshmin Chowdhury?
Reshmin Chowdhury, born in December 1977, is a British-born sports journalist, event presenter and broadcaster.
She is currently a presenter for TNT Sports’ broadcasts of Premier League matches and also is tasked with presenting the Women’s Super League coverage on Sky Sports, in addition to covering major women’s soccer tournaments for BBC Sport.
She has worked on all soccer coverage with TNT Sports for nine years, notably including the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Europa Conference League.
Chowdhury has also presented the FIFA World Cup in Qatar for beIN Sports, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics with Eurosport and Discovery Plus. During the delayed Euro 2020 tournament, she was a pitchside reporter for ITV Sport.
This is not the first time she has hosted The Best awards event, as she also presented the 2020 and 2021 galas.
It will come as no surprise that Chowdhury, who is multi-lingual, worked as a journalist for Real Madrid TV from 2008 to 2010. During her time at the club, she had the opportunity to interview several players, including Cristiano Ronaldo when he signed for Real Madrid in 2009.
