New York Red Bulls players' touching gesture for children during Inter Miami clash

The New York Red Bulls not only beat Inter Miami at home, their players won the hearts of the fans, thanks to a simple but touching gesture.

The Red Bull Arena in New York City was witness to one of the Red Bulls’ most rounded afternoons as they outclassed the mighty Inter Miami 4-0, humiliating Luis Suarez and Co.

The game was marked by a torrential downpour that did not leave the 22 players on the pitch alone, who put the weather conditions to one side.

Heart-warming gestures

But the Red Bulls did not just win three points. Even before the MLS Matchday Six fixture kicked off, the New Yorkers had scored a dressing room goal before kick-off.

In the moments prior to the start of the game, the rain was pouring down on the pitch, which began to upset the children accompanying the NY Red Bulls players.

One by one, the players gave the children their jackets to protect them from the rain, in a gesture that these little ones will never forget in their lives.

The Red Bulls have started the 2024 MLS season well, having won three of their first five matches, drawing one and losing the other. That leaves them third in the table behind Cincinnati and Inter Miami.
