Cristiano Ronaldo 'loses' to Nike at Al-Nassr: Adidas wins the battle

Al-Nassr has announced an agreement with Adidas for the next three seasons. Until now, the Saudi Arabian team wore Nike in its sporting equipment, so this news came as a surprise. Besides the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest representatives of the brand in the world.

The German brand has had to pay a huge amount of exuberant money to get the main sponsorship of one of the biggest clubs in Saudi Arabia, more considering that it snatches it from its main competitor in the market. This is what they have announced on social media.

Al-Nassr CEO Guido Fienga said: “Joining with Adidas is an exciting partnership, the scale and resonance of Al Nassr, adorned with the iconic Adidas three stripes, magnifies the global impact we can achieve.

“This partnership is a sign of our ambition to make the club a soccer powerhouse, not only in Arabia but internationally.”

Interestingly in pre- and post-announcement posts on social media, the Saudi club’s players can be seen training in Nike sportswear.
